EdgeSync fails because "The LDAP Server is unavailable"
Ok, I have done as much as I can without assistance
When I try to start-edgesyncronization on the hub transport server it says "FailureDetails : The LDAP server is unavailable."
I have tried removing the certificate from the Service account on Exchange ADAM, resubbed the server, same result.
Then I tried "certutil -urlcache ocsp delete" and "certutil -urlcache crl delete" rebooted the TMG server then tried this on the exchange server, rebooted as well.
no dice
Re-enabled the exchange certificate and made sure the status wasn't revocationcheckfailure as it was before and still no dice.
Although I just ran Exchange Best Practices and got
"19:10:08.248: There is an error (The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)) on the WMI search SELECT __RELPATH, Name, Domain, TotalPhysicalMemory FROM Win32_ComputerSystem on scope root\cimv2 on server WIN-TMG-SVR.mydomain.com.
Skipping object."
However, I can do gpupdate /force on the TMG server so the firewall is not blocking RPC
I can't Telnet into the LDAP edgesync port on the DC. So I am stuck here.
More Info:
The LDAP System policy rule is enabled and I still get denials on the log via the "Default Rule"

Finally I have my answer...
The server certificates were matching between the Edge and Hub. You CANNOT do that..
I hope to god that this becomes useful at some point for someone.
